Teenage life is violent and goes through hypnotizing highs and depressing lows. Teenage may be trivial for some boys and girls, especially when going to high school or college. You might find yourself suffering from different things out there, but I ensure you that if you follow the tips given below, your teenage and college/university life will turn out to be a pleasant journey. (Tips for university students)
1. Question your purpose
Always contemplate what you are doing, and why you are doing it. Is it meant for you.]? Is it worth it? Is it what you wanted to do? Do you want to do it? Is it the right path for you? Are you doing it well? Doing this will make you self-motivated and you will have a clearer sense of what are you up to.
2. Practice good posture
Pay attention to your posture. It won’t show any difference when you are in your teen years but it can serious problems in the years to come in your life. For instance, your posture will become awful, and it may cause back pain, nerd neck, etc. Having a good posture makes you physically attractive and you seem more confident and dominant and it will make you more likable.
3. Take more pictures
Take more random and candid photos in your daily normal life. Like group selfies with your friends and family while you are chilling or having fun or going out somewhere. It will engender beautiful emotions within you when you will see them again in the future. Talking positively, we always have moments that we carry for life. So, if you will capture those moments in your gallery, they will seem more beautiful and emotional to look at in the future.
4. Write down important things
Whenever you read a good book or watch a good motivational video on youtube, note down the main points somewhere because your mind tends to forget things. Doing this will benefit you in the future and the notes can help you or teach you something new. Additionally, you can journal your own thoughts and feelings about a specific point.
5. Connect with the people more
Connect with people more. Be the person who gathers his friends and enjoys. Don’t be shy to ask someone first to hang out. Have fun with people. The moments you spend with your loved ones will engrave in your mind as beautiful memories. And these will be so beautiful to look at. Also, spending time with more and more people will help you to improve your social and communication skills and it will also help to you become a better person overall.
6. Give yourself exposure
Go out, meet and talk to new people, expose yourself to the world, and make new friends, rather than sitting on your couch scrolling your Instagram feed. It sounds intimidating, but it will exponentially increase your luck to find people and things that might be helpful in your future. Rather than missing out on every event, gather yourself together and take part in it. It will exponentially increase your self-confidence and will make you a charismatic person. Also, your communication and social skills will become better.
7. Keep your doors open
If you live in a university hostel, you should keep the door of your room open. You better buy a doorstopper for this. Doing this will encourage people to come into your room and have a random chat with you. It will strengthen the bond between you and the random friends in the university. As people will find you easy to interrupt, they will be able to connect to you more and you will be more likable. You don't need to keep your door open all the time. If want to have some rest or want to do some important task with focus, you can close it though.
8. Be nice to people
This may sound cliche, but being nice to others has a strong positive impact on our and others' lives. Everything and everybody is temporary everywhere. The person who is studying with you might not be sitting with you next year. So, forgiving and forgetting are good for your mental health and social relationships as well. Most of the time, you regret it later after being rude to somebody. Being nice to everybody will make you look more mature, confident, and growth-minded person.
9. Take care of your sleep
Your sleep is essential for you to lead a healthy life. So, hanging out till late at night won't do any good to you, and the following day will be a misery for you. It is not a good idea to sacrifice your sleep for a friend's get-together or a hang-out. You should at least go to bed at 12.
10. Little work every day
Do little work every day. Like, give at least half an hour or so to your studies. If you don't feel like doing it, just start with something extremely small and you will find yourself in a mood to work more. Doing little work daily will keep your consistency going on, and will be enough to sustain your momentum.
